A and AS Level Congratulations!

There was plenty of nervous anticipation as our A and AS level students arrived to receive their results earlier today, which were once again superb. It was such a delight for students, staff and parents to celebrate these richly deserved exam successes, and it was special occasion for students as they plan the exciting next stage of their lives. These A and AS level results represent many hours of work and commitment and dedication from students, staff and families, so we would like to offer our sincere congratulations to everyone associated with these fantastic achievements.

Our students have again achieved some tremendous accomplishments and most who have applied for places at university have secured their first choice. They will now be undertaking undergraduate courses in a diverse range of subjects including medicine, dentistry, psychology, agribusiness, economics and politics, mathematics, aerospace engineering, computer science, biological sciences, musical theatre, law, English, history, marine biology, architecture, geography, pharmacy to name just a few. We are so delighted to have been able to acknowledge in person with each student these outstanding results; they are a testament to the incredible hard work undertaken by the students themselves and their teachers, and they confirm Bryntirion’s reputation for high quality post-16 education.

It has been a pleasure to acknowledge the success of a wonderful group of students in Year 13 who have now reached the end of their time at their school. The education of these students was impacted considerably by the pandemic, as they had significant disruption, particularly in the formative GCSE period in Years 10 and 11. They did not take formal examinations until they started their post -16 studies in Year 12, so their achievements are especially extraordinary, Each member of Year 13 has helped to maintain a strong community ethos alongside their peers in Year 12 and the sixth form leadership team. Not only have they helped each other, they have also used their character and skills to support the wider community within and beyond the school. In doing so, our Year 13 students have made a significant contribution to school life and to others beyond Bryntirion. We wish our Year 13 students joy and contentment in their lives, and even greater achievements as they move on to their future studies and chosen careers.
