From Tuesday 7th May we will be introducing additional traffic management controls in order to improve the safety of pupils as they leave the school site at the end of the day. These controls will be introduced for a trial period until Friday 24th May.

The school site will not be accessible to vehicles between 2.50 p.m. and 3.10 p.m. on weekdays, and no vehicular movement will be permitted during this 20 minute period. The gates at the entrance and exit to the school will be closed to vehicles at this time.

Taxi drivers will be required to wait to pick up pupils in a designated area alongside the sports hall, and will not be permitted to leave until 3.10 p.m. when the gates will be re-opened. If taxis are late they will not be able to enter the school grounds until this time, and pupils will be advised to wait either in reception or next to the designated area until they arrive.

There is very limited space for parents to collect children at the front of the school in special circumstances. However, in the interest of safety, I would request that parents respect the condition that there is no vehicular movement permitted at the end of the school day.

We would be very grateful for your support in improving pupil safety as they leave school at 3.00 p.m.
