BRYNTIRION COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL ALUMNI COMMUNITY

We are delighted to let you know that Bryntirion Comprehensive School is developing an Alumni Community to help us reconnect with our former students and keep in touch with leavers from the day they leave.

What is an alumni community?

An alumni community is made up of the people who graduate from a school or, in some cases, who retire or move on from a business. From the latin word alumnus, meaning pupil, alumni communities celebrate a perceived ongoing shared identity among graduates.

There’s been a revolution in the way we think about alumni communities with the rise of social networks and better community-building platforms. More and more schools are building reciprocal, beneficial relationships. The school can benefit from increased alumni connection to their programs, more visibility and networking opportunities for current students.

What is the aim of developing a school alumni community?

Our alumni community can support us in so many ways – as careers role models, mentors, in-curricular volunteers, governors and more.

We need to build this network and reach out to former students who have left over the years. If you are a former student or still in touch with any former Bryntirion students, or perhaps you know a neighbour or friend that previously attended Bryntirion, please could you share this email which contains a link to sign up to our alumni network.
