BIG BOCS CHRISTMAS TOY DRIVE - PRE-LOVED TOYS!
Dear Parents and Staff
I hope this letter finds you well and filled with the warmth of the upcoming festive season. I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible support you have shown in our recent food drive. Your generosity has made a significant impact, and we are truly thankful for your commitment to helping those in need.
As we embrace the spirit of giving, we are excited to announce our next initiative - the Christmas Toy Drive. It's important to note that we recently reached out to you to conduct a toy drive for the Santa Appeal, collecting new toys to brighten the holidays for many children. This time, we are focusing on collecting pre-loved, gently used toys, that we can redistribute to children ensuring that even those items which have brought joy to your own children can find new homes and create the opportunity for others to wake up to the excitement of unwrapping a gift on Christmas day.
We believe that every child deserves to experience the joy and magic of Christmas, and your contributions can make a real difference in the lives of those less fortunate. Did you know that, sadly, 20% of children in the UK who celebrate Christmas wake up without a toy on Christmas morning? This statistic highlights the importance of our collective efforts to ensure that every child has a reason to smile during the holiday season.
The types of toys we are looking for are varied and can include cuddly toys, books, sports equipment, toy cars, anything suitable for children aged 2 to 16 years old. Your thoughtful contributions can bring joy to a child's heart and create lasting memories that extend far beyond the holiday season.
If you have toys that your own children have outgrown or items that could find a new home and bring happiness to another child, we encourage you to participate in our Christmas Toy Drive. Donation boxes will be conveniently placed in our reception from the Monday11th December to Friday15th December. If you wish to bring in a donation before these dates, students/staff are welcome to take them to my teaching room (Mr Herbert) in B19.
Your kindness and generosity have already made a significant impact on our school community, and we are confident that together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Thank you for being an integral part of our compassionate and caring school community. Your support is truly appreciated, and it is what makes our school a special place for everyone.
Wishing you and your loved ones a joyous and festive holiday season!
Warm regards
Mr Herbert
